Terms of Use
The rules for using the LPS Checklist app. By making an account or using the app, you agree to them. We've kept them in plain English.
Last updated: 24 September 2026
The short version
- Be kind and follow the community guidelines.
- What you post stays yours. You let us show it in the app so it can be shared.
- Moderators can look at anything that's reported, including a reported private message and some of the messages around it.
- Trades and sales between members are between you and the other member. The app doesn't handle payments.
- Collector Pro and other purchases go through Apple or Google, and their refund rules apply.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings.
About these terms
LPS Checklist is made by Hammerhead Studios ("we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and Hammerhead Studios about using the app, on any phone, tablet or computer.
They work together with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and why, and our community guidelines, which explain how to behave in the community. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the app.
Nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
Who can use the app
- Everyone can browse the pet catalogue and keep track of a collection, with or without an account.
- Under 13: you may only use the app with your parent's or guardian's permission. Accounts for under-13s can browse, collect, vote and paw, but can't post, comment, send messages, enter contests, sell or trade.
- 13 to 17: you need your parent's or guardian's permission to use the app and to buy anything in it, and you should ask them before you buy, sell or trade with other members.
- If a parent or guardian gives permission, they agree to these terms for their child and are responsible for how the child uses the app.
- You can't use the app if we have closed your account before, unless we've told you that you can come back.
Your account
- Give us true information when you make an account, including your date of birth. We use it to apply the right limits for your age.
- Keep your sign-in details private. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
- One person, one account. Don't share an account, and don't make extra accounts to get around a limit, a block or a ban.
- Pick a handle that doesn't pretend to be someone else, isn't offensive, and doesn't use someone else's trademark in a misleading way. We can ask you to change a handle, or change it for you.
- If you think someone else is using your account, email us straight away.
Using the app
Please use the app the way it's meant to be used, and follow the community guidelines. In particular, don't:
- bully, harass, threaten or hurt anyone, or put a child at risk;
- post anything illegal, sexual, violent or hateful;
- pretend to be another person, brand or organisation;
- scam people, send spam, or advertise other businesses without our permission;
- post someone else's photos, art or personal details without their permission;
- share your home address, phone number, school or passwords in posts, comments or your profile;
- use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to copy the catalogue or collect information about members;
- try to get around Collector Pro, usage limits, age limits or safety features, or interfere with how the app works;
- copy, change or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
What you post
You keep ownership of what you post: your photos, art, customs, posts, comments, lists and messages ("your content").
- The permission you give us. So the app can work, you give Hammerhead Studios a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, resize, show and share your content in the app, to the people you choose to share it with, for as long as it's in the app. This includes things like showing your art in the Showcase or on a pet's page when you share it there.
- Outside the app. We won't use your photos or art in advertising outside the app without asking you first.
- When you delete something. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other people already have (for example a message you sent them), copies we need to keep for a report, an appeal or a legal duty, and backups that are deleted over time.
- Your responsibility. Only post content you made yourself or have permission to share, and credit artists. You're responsible for what you post.
- Copyright complaints. If you think something in the app uses your work without permission, email us with a link or description of it, what it copies, and how to contact you. We'll look at it and remove it if it breaks these terms.
Reports and moderation
We want LPS Checklist to be a kind, safe place, and lots of our members are young. To keep it that way:
- Members can report posts, comments, messages, profiles, art, stories, listings, trades and contest entries, and an automatic word filter flags messages that contain certain offensive words.
- Moderators can look at anything that is reported or flagged. For a private message, that means the reported message and up to 20 messages before and after it, so they can understand what happened. Every time a moderator opens a reported conversation, it's recorded. The Privacy Policy explains this in more detail.
- We can remove content, limit what an account can do, suspend an account for a while, or close it, if it breaks these terms or the community guidelines, or if we need to in order to protect someone.
- We can keep content and information as evidence, and pass it to the police, emergency services or child protection organisations, when someone may be at risk or the law requires it.
- If we take action on your account, we'll tell you why, unless we can't for safety or legal reasons. If you think we got it wrong, email us and a person will look at it again.
We don't check everything members post before it appears, so we can't promise the app will never show something that breaks the rules. If you see something, please report it.
Buying, selling and trading between members
The app helps collectors find each other, list pets, and agree trades. It doesn't take part in those deals.
- Deals are between members. When you buy, sell or trade, the agreement is between you and the other member. Hammerhead Studios isn't a party to it, doesn't handle payments or postage, and can't guarantee that a pet is genuine, as described, or delivered.
- You trade at your own risk. Describe pets honestly, send what you promised, and use a payment method that protects buyers. The community guidelines have tips for trading safely.
- Addresses. Only share your address in a private message with someone you're trading with, only to complete the trade, and only if you're comfortable doing so.
- Under 18s should ask a parent or guardian before buying, selling or trading.
- Problems. If a deal goes wrong, please report the member in the app. We can act on the account, but we can't refund you or settle the dispute.
- Follow the law on what you sell, and don't sell fakes as genuine.
Collector Pro and other purchases
- What you can buy. Collector Pro, as a subscription or a one-off lifetime purchase, and Remove ads, a one-off purchase. The app shows what each includes, and the price in your currency, before you pay.
- Who you pay. Purchases are made through Apple's App Store or Google Play, using your Apple or Google account. Their terms of sale apply, and we never see your card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. A free trial turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. You can cancel at any time in your Apple ID or Google Play settings. Deleting the app, or your account, doesn't cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own refund policies. Apple's are at reportaproblem.apple.com; Google Play's are in its Help Centre. We can't give refunds ourselves.
- On your other devices. Purchases are linked to your account and your Apple or Google account. Use Restore purchases in the app if they don't appear.
- If Collector Pro ends, the Pro-only features stop, but we keep what you made with them (such as a customised profile), so it comes back if you rejoin.
- Changes. We keep improving the app, so features can change. We won't make Collector Pro significantly worse during a period you've already paid for. If a price changes, Apple or Google will tell you before it applies to you.
- Collector Pro never buys Rep, rankings, earned badges or contest wins.
Adverts
- Free accounts see adverts, supplied by Google AdMob. They help pay for the app's running costs.
- Collector Pro or Remove ads switches adverts off on your account.
- Sometimes you can choose to watch an advert to unlock something. Watching one is always your choice.
- Adverts are made by other companies. We don't endorse what they advertise and we aren't responsible for their products, websites or offers.
- The Privacy Policy explains how adverts work, including the extra protections for under-18s.
Information in the app
- The pet catalogue is put together from collector community sources and our own research. We work hard to get it right, but it can contain mistakes. If you spot one, please tell us.
- The Blind Box Decoder's results are a best guess from a printed code, and can be wrong.
- Prices and values in the app are estimates from past sales. They aren't financial advice or an offer to buy or sell.
- LPS Checklist is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Hasbro or Basic Fun. "Littlest Pet Shop" is a trademark of Hasbro, Inc. Product photos belong to their owners.
- The app, its design, its code and our own content belong to Hammerhead Studios. You may use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use under these terms.
Ending your account
- You can leave at any time. Go to Settings, then Account, then Delete Account. The Privacy Policy explains what's removed and what stays. Remember to cancel any subscription with Apple or Google as well.
- We can close or suspend an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms or the community guidelines, that puts someone at risk, or where the law requires it. We'll tell you why, unless we can't for safety or legal reasons.
- If we close the app altogether, we'll give you reasonable notice in the app first where we can.
Our responsibility to you
- We work to keep the app running well and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available, free of errors, or that nothing will ever be lost. Keep your own copy of anything that really matters to you.
- The app is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we don't give any promises about it beyond those in these terms.
- We aren't responsible for what members post or do, for deals between members, or for other companies' services and adverts, though we'll act on reports as described above.
- As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses that weren't a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms, or for business losses. If we are responsible for a loss, our total responsibility is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it happened.
- Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law doesn't allow to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Apple and Google
If you got the app from Apple's App Store, these points also apply:
- These terms are between you and Hammerhead Studios, not Apple. Hammerhead Studios, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content.
- You may use the app on any Apple device that you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app doesn't meet a warranty that applies to it, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid for the app, if any. As far as the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- Hammerhead Studios, not Apple, is responsible for dealing with any claims about the app, including product liability claims, claims that it doesn't meet a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection or privacy claims, and claims that it infringes someone else's intellectual property.
- You confirm that you aren't located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you aren't on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your mobile or internet provider's.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and once you accept them, Apple can enforce them against you.
If you got the app from Google Play, Google Play's terms of service also apply to your download and purchases.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app changes or the law changes. If a change matters, we'll change the date at the top and let you know in the app before it applies. If you keep using the app after that, you're agreeing to the new terms. If you don't agree, you can stop using the app and delete your account.
